Paul Vasak, Chris Clarke

Paul Vasak is a QA Lead at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (www.rbauction.com), planning and managing the testing of customer facing applications as well as the functional and performance testing of internal system interfaces and databases. He finds opportunities for improving processes and applies automation where appropriate. Prior to joining RBA, he enjoyed working on some interesting testing projects at QA Labs. He also managed IT and software development at Fincad, the developer of software for valuation of complex financial derivatives.

Chris Clarke is a senior database architect and database administrator with concrete experience designing OLTP and OLAP applications to run on Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL DBMS's, including capacity planning, redundancy, and disaster recovery plans. Experienced with using data modeling, development and test tools for performance analysis, system benchmarking, and stress testing. At Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Chris uses the SOPAUI tool to perform functional and performance testing of web services for communicating between website, applications and Oracle servers.
