Come Play Project Manager
Abstract
The skill & judgment of the Project Manager are significant contributors to the outcome of a project. Developing sound judgment takes time, especially in environments in which project lifecycles take extended periods to complete. VanQ is pleased to host a fun workshop in which attendees will be invited to participate in a project simulation game that condenses a 10 month project into a 30 minute exercise. The simulation explores the relationship between how the Project Manager allocates resources throughout the project and the outcomes in terms of Scope, Budget, Schedule and Quality. Post game analysis will open the floor to discussion of some of the forces and effects that drive project performance.About Robert Goatham
With 17 years in the IT Industry and a broad range of experience in both Project Management and Quality Management, Robert Goatham has long been an advocate for quality. Robert became a Certified Quality Analyst in 1999 and established the IT Quality function for Singapore Airlines. In addition he has played an active role in quality programs in many organizations and was a driving force in the Singapore Quality Assurance society. Always pragmatic, Robert's mix of fundamentals and down to earth experience leave audiences with new perspectives on key issues affecting the IT Industry.Past Meetings
